Kick-off Meeting: DigitalGreenConsumption-30 to Promote Sustainable Practices

The project consortium is excited to announce a new partnership under the Erasmus+ project DigitalGreenConsumption-30 (DGvet-30), working alongside partners from Usurbilgo Lanbide Eskola (Usurbil, Spain), Scuola Centrale Formazione Associazione (Venice, Italy), Temizel-Ünlü Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi (Karaman, Turkey), and Academia (Slovenia).

The project, which launched in November 2024 and will run until October 2027, focuses on addressing environmental challenges and improving sustainability in vocational education and training (VET). The key goals of the partnership include:

  • Reducing CO2 Emissions – Developing and implementing strategies to reduce carbon emissions.

  • Increasing Energy Efficiency – Improving energy usage through monitoring systems and better practices.

  • Promoting Sustainable Thinking – Creating and using educational resources to raise awareness about sustainability.

  • Collaboration on a Shared Platform – Building and utilizing a collaborative platform to achieve the project's goals.

Kick-off Meeting in Spain

To kick off the project activities, a productive first meeting was held in Usurbil, Spain. The event brought together all the project partners to discuss the next steps in tackling climate change through vocational education. The project aligns with the European Union’s objectives of reducing emissions, increasing energy efficiency, and preparing students for a green and digital workforce.

The two-day meeting took place on December 12th and 13th and included participants from Slovenia, Italy, Turkey, and Spain. The event began with a warm welcome at Usurbilgo Lanbide Eskola, followed by discussions on different work packages (WPs).

Day 1 focused on:

WP1 – Project management

WP3 – Digitalization and energy consumption monitoring

WP2 – Introduction of best practices in vocational education, particularly in the field of renewable energy

The visit to the school allowed the partners to see how Usurbilgo Lanbide Eskola integrates sustainable practices into its operations.

Day 2 was dedicated to:

WP4 – Raising awareness about sustainable practices and increasing the participation of women in vocational education.

This is a key element of the project, as it ensures both gender equality and sustainability in the green workforce.

Focus on Sharing Results and Best Practices

The meeting concluded with a discussion on WP5 – the dissemination of results. Partners discussed strategies for sharing the project's outcomes and encouraging the broader adoption of sustainable practices in vocational education.

Moving Toward a Greener Future

Through educational materials, energy consumption monitoring systems, and a collaborative platform, the project aims to reduce CO2 emissions, improve energy efficiency, and promote sustainable thinking. The successful kick-off meeting in Usurbil has laid a solid foundation for future collaboration, paving the way for significant progress in education and sustainability.

We are proud to be part of this forward-thinking initiative and look forward to contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
