DGvet-30 Project Launched at Tknika to Advance Green and Digital Transformation in Vocational Education

On July 3rd, at Tknika – Basque VET Applied Research Centre, the European project DGvet-30 (Digital Green Consumption) was presented to representatives of technical schools, teachers, and various stakeholders interested in educational innovation.

The event introduced the main objectives of this Erasmus+ (KA220-VET) initiative, which will run for three years (2024-2027) to integrate sustainability and digitalization into Vocational Education and Training, in line with the European commitments to reduce emissions and promote efficient energy use.

Coordinated by CIFP Usurbil LHII and developed together with SCUOLA CENTRALE FORMAZIONE (Italy), ACADEMIA d.o.o. (Slovenia), and Karaman/Merkez Temizel-Ünlü Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi (Turkey), the project aims to provide students and teachers with key skills for the green and digital transition while also fostering the participation of women in industrial training cycles.

During the presentation, the project’s work plan was outlined, structured around five areas: project management, exchange of good practices, digitalization and energy monitoring in schools, awareness raising on sustainable behaviors and gender equality, and dissemination of results.

In the coming years, the consortium will expand the use of digital tools, develop demonstrative projects with students, and create an international exchange platform, including a student mobility event in Turkey.

With this presentation, DGvet-30 took its second public step in the Basque Country, reinforcing its commitment to transform Vocational Education and Training into a space that prepares young people to lead Europe’s green and digital transition.
