The project

The DigitalGreenConsumption-30 (DGvet-30) project is a collaborative initiative under the Erasmus+ KA220-VET program, designed to address the pressing challenges of climate change while fostering innovation in vocational education and training (VET).

The project aligns with the European Union's goals to reduce CO2 emissions by 55% and energy consumption by 11.7% by 2030. Through innovative educational strategies and technological integration, DGvet-30 aims to prepare students and educators for the demands of a green and digital economy.

Goals

Our key priorities

Environmental Impact

Achieve a tangible reduction in CO₂ emissions and energy consumption within participating institutions and communities. By 2030, the project targets a 55% reduction in emissions and a 15% reduction in energy consumption in educational settings.

Energy Efficiency

Implement systems and practices in partner schools to actively monitor and reduce energy usage, contributing to the EU’s goal of reducing overall energy consumption by 11.7%.

Green and Digital Workforce Preparation

Equip VET students with skills for emerging fields in renewable energy and eco-technology, fostering adaptability to digitalization and green industry needs.

Gender Inclusion

DGvet-30 prioritizes the inclusion of women in VET fields related to renewable energy and digitalization, promoting diversity and addressing gender imbalances in the industry.

Cross-European Collaboration

Build a network of VET institutions across Europe to exchange best practices, share resources, and disseminate knowledge on energy-efficient practices and green skills.

Implementation

DGvet-30 will implement a diverse range of activities

Real-Time Energy Monitoring and Analysis

Implement and utilize energy monitoring systems within partner institutions to track and manage energy usage actively. This activity will allow schools to set energy reduction targets and engage students in practical sustainability efforts.

Research and Surveys on Youth Perspectives

Conduct research, including interviews and surveys, to understand young people’s attitudes toward climate change and sustainable practices. This data will inform project activities and adapt the curriculum to resonate with youth perspectives.

Technical and Eco-Skills Training Workshops

Host a series of training sessions and workshops on renewable energy, green technologies, and sustainable practices. These will cover technical knowledge and practical applications, helping students develop competencies relevant to the green economy.

Dissemination Events and Public Presentations

Organize events where students, educators, and experts present the project’s findings, outcomes, and energy-saving results to local communities, raising awareness on the benefits of sustainable practices.

Integration of Gender-Inclusive Policies

Develop materials and activities to encourage more women to join the vocational fields of energy and digitalization, creating equal opportunities and fostering a more inclusive educational environment.

Expected Results and Impact

The project expects to achieve concrete outcomes

Eco-Centric Curriculum and Didactic Units

Develop comprehensive didactic units focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable practices. These modules will be integrated into the curricula of participating VET schools, providing students with hands-on knowledge in green technologies.

Digitalized Energy Monitoring Systems

Introduce energy tracking tools across partner institutions to measure and analyze energy consumption. Data from these systems will guide students and educators in making environmentally conscious decisions and inform energy-saving actions.

Collaborative Knowledge-Sharing Platform

Establish an online platform to facilitate information-sharing among project partners, including educational materials, case studies, and best practices for green skills training.

Public Awareness Campaigns and Student Exchanges

Conduct a range of awareness-building initiatives, including workshops, interviews, and public presentations. Student exchanges and expert talks will also engage youth on climate issues, fostering an informed and proactive approach to sustainability.

Workshops on Green Skills and Digital Competencies

Deliver practical workshops on the integration of digital tools in green skills education, focusing on digital monitoring systems, energy management, and eco-technologies.
